Boyfriend told me he loves me.. but he was slightly drunk?

my boyfriend of 10 months has been talking about how he feels closer to me, and also talking a lot about future things he wants to do together. I thought we were heading towards telling each other 'i love you' and last night he did. Only thing was, he had just come home from a few drinks down at the pub with his mates. He cuddled up to me and whispered it in my ear, saying he actually came home early to be with me. He wasn't completely intoxicated, and does remember telling me, but does being drunk mean he may not have fully meant it?
