Hotwheels/matchbox connecter cars?

Hi world!! Anyone born in the 80s know a particular series of hotwheels/matchbox sized toy cars that had interchangeable parts? they could connect with each other for example, front of a sports car to a back of a missle truck (try to imagine). so far i've found, hotwheels crash ups, keyforce, and crash dummies. but it's not them !
